Plagiarism checker manual

What this user does

The plagiarism checker only sees papers the editor marked Assign for plagiarism. They download files, run similarity offline, then record the result and the full report.

Workshop use case

  1. Log in as plagiarism2@iba-du.edu / Jba12345. You land on the plagiarism dashboard.
  2. Under Pending plagiarism checks, open Editor PDF / Editor DOC (author files are not shown).
  3. In Select Result, choose Plagiarism is below 25% (so the editor can send it to review) or Plagiarism is above 25% to demonstrate a stop. The journal limit is 25%.
  4. Optional comment. Upload the full report as PDF or image (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP).
  5. Click Submit Result.
  6. Show that you can add or replace the report later under Already submitted plagiarism results.

If the list is empty, the editor has not yet set the paper to Assign for plagiarism. Log out before switching accounts.
